In this workshop with River Takada, you will sew your own quilt blocks and attach them to a pre-loved item of your choosing (please bring a tote bag or jacket), or save your block to make into another project in the future. Intuitive quilting is the process of creating a quilt (or quilt block) using your intuition and sense of creativity. We’ll be selecting fabric scraps in shapes without too much planning- Feel free to bring some of your own scraps or use our classroom stash- FQ are available for purchase in Freeman's Creative. We’ll move through the process without limits, allowing for creativity to flow freely. This course is for beginners and seasoned quilters alike. If you’ve never used a sewing machine before, you’ll be guided on how to sew simple straight lines, gentle curves and how to appliqué (sewing patch-style).  You are encouraged to put away the “rules” of traditional quilting to tap into an intuitive way of sewing.
