Intro to Sewing

In this two hour class, students will learn all the basic steps to sewing with knits on a machine, including how to set up their machine, adjust the settings, and sew straight lines and zigzag lines.  Students will design and stitch their own boxy tee-shirt.

Required Materials: 

Prewashed-

1-1.5x yard knit fabric
**Bring a favorite tee-shirt from home to trace and gauge sizing.

Students are encouraged to bring their own working machines to the workshop. 

Freeman's Creative provides: Coordinating Thread and interfacing.  All students will receive 10% discount on materials purchased in the shop. Students can select to Add-On a machine rental for $7, or a Patchwork Fabric kit for $25 instead of bringing their own fabric.
